The seventh volume in my Sierra Wild Nature Series, Canyons of the Colorado, photographically explores the Colorado Plateau.
"Slickrock, hoodoos, arches, bridges, slot canyons, narrows, peaks, hogbacks, cockscombs, reefs, buttes, heads, mesas, arroyos, badlands, slides, basins, box canyons, rims, backs, bluffs, rocks, loops, points, holes, knobs, islands, cathedrals, hills, goosenecks, draws, benches, waves, terraces, gulches, saddles, dunes, potholes, flats, knolls, nipples, cracks, spires, dells, bays, amphitheaters, towers, temples, hives, pockets, parks, washes, domes, tinajas, ridges, mittens, windows, hollows, coves, divides, ledges, folds, bottoms, sinks, draws, canyons, fins, valleys and cliffs abound. Both in the micro and the macro the landscape is a phantasmagorical kaleidoscope of psychedelic geology run amuck.
